About Technical College of Administration
Technical College of Administration (TCA) is one of the three colleges formed the main campus of the Sulaimani Polytechnic University in Chwarchra area in Sulaimani governorate. The college includes the main departments dealing with social sciences and becomes an orbit of those students who aim to study the disciplines of administration, accounting, media, public relations and marketing in a practical paradigm.
Academic Departments
The department of information technology is one of the departments of the Technical College of Informatic. It was established in 2013-2014. The first year of admission to this department was only for those students who graduated from the Technical Institute -Information Technology department, and the study started in the second grade. The first group of the graduation was from 2015-2016.
Public relations and marketing is a crucial field that is continuously in growth and provides many career opportunities. This department is a mix of the process of teaching the science and art of marketing, public relations and English language striving to educate skilled, competent and diligent cadres for the market who can work locally and globally.
Business Management Department is one of the departments of TCA Administration which was established in the academic year of (2003-2004( and since then continues to learn and train students, with the aim of preparing graduates in management specialties that can take responsibility for work, that require expertise.
Business Management strives to promote and serve the community in order to promote education and adherence to the certificate of bachelor, high diploma, master’s degree, and doctorate. Also, approaching and working with advanced international universities and interacting with the labor market and civil society organizations. In the academic year of (2018-2019), Business Management Department opened master’s and high diploma study. Nowadays from a total of four students, two of them succeed in obtaining a high diploma certificate, as well as twelve applicants from the total of thirteen managed to obtain M.A. degrees. Meanwhile, two Ph.D. students were given a doctorate degree in Business Management Department.
With the change of the Sulaimani Technical Education Board to Sulaimani Polytechnic University and the inauguration of the Technical College of Administration, in 2013, the media technique department was opened.
As the first step for the academic year of (2013-2014), the admission center admitted (30) students from the sixth high school graduates in both scientific and literary branches, in addition to seventy graduates of the media department of the Kurdistan Regional Government institutes in order to continue their studies from the second phase, with the aim to provide another opportunity to obtain a higher certificate.
Programs
Postgraduate education involves learning and studying for degrees or other qualifications for which a first or Bachelor’s degree generally is required, and is normally considered to be part of tertiary or higher education. Master’s degrees consist of both taught and research elements. PhD also consist of both taught and research elements and take three or more years.
