The SPE Career Development Center at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, in cooperation with the Department of Oil and Energy and the Student Branch, organized a scientific field visit to the Bazian Oil Refinery.
Fourth-stage students from the Department of Oil and Energy at the Technical College of Engineering conducted this visit on May 7, 2025.
The initiative aimed to enhance students’ understanding by providing hands-on practical experience related to oil refinery operations. During the visit, students gained valuable insights into the basic operational principles, laboratory testing units, and the overall process flow within the refinery.
Such field visits play an important role in strengthening the link between academic knowledge and practical application, and they significantly contribute to better preparing students for the labor market.
