
A scientific Meeting on Different Dimensions of Kurdish Genocide During the Anfal Campaign was Held
A scientific meeting marking the 37th anniversary of the Kurdish genocide during the infamous Anfal campaign was held in the conference hall of the Technical Colleges Campus. The event was attended by vice presidents, faculty members, staff, students, and a number of distinguished guests.
The meeting focused on examining the consequences of the genocide from historical, legal, and international law perspectives.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Hersh Rasul, Dean of the Technical College of Management, stated:
“We are here not only to commemorate a painful occasion, but also to understand, discuss, and learn from this tragic chapter in our history.”
He further explained that “Our academic and scientific responsibility goes beyond the transfer of knowledge; it includes researching and interpreting historical events so that younger generations can understand the past and help shape a better future.”
Following his remarks, four lecturers from different departments of the college presented their respective topics related to the Anfal campaign. The session concluded with a lively exchange of questions and opinions among the participants.
