The Cultural Heritage Network (CHN) project from the Digital Cultural Heritage Research Group of Sulaimani Polytechnic University organized a workshop for two representatives from the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine Library.
The workshop was very informative and engaging as the speakers dealt with three promising and greatly needed projects from Al-Abbas Holy Shrine Library. The insights were offered by Mr. Hassanein Ahmed Almusawi who is the Manager of Indexing & Information Systems Center and representative of both the Arab Federation of Libraries and Information and the International Federation of Libraries and Information (IFLA) in implementation of 2030 Sustainable Development Goals & Mr. Ammar Hussein Aljawad, a Technical Support Manager in Electronic Library.
The workshop was attended by 46 professionals and academics from 9 libraries and universities in Sulaimani and run from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 11th, 2019.
In addition to information sharing and a lively Q&A during the workshop and coffee break, the event also created a great networking and connecting opportunity among the attendees for potential collaborative projects and trainings in the area of digital library and archiving.
