In a Praiseworthy Ceremony, 5227 students of Sulaimani Polytechnic University were Awarded Graduation certificates.

In the presence of Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Saber, the Chairman of President Jalal Talabani Foundation, Deputy Governor of Sulaimani and a number of the presidents of the public and private universities the graduation ceremony of the 34th course of students of Sulaimani Polytechnic University for the year 2022-2023 was held. The ceremony began with a few moments of silence for the souls of the martyrs and reading of several verses from the Holy Quran by Mullah Rawand. Then Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, delivered a speech to the participants and congratulated the Presidency of Sulaimani Polytechnic University and all teachers and employees, especially the graduates. He expressed his happiness that today he finds himself in Sulaimani city, the cultural capital of Kurdistan, and he had the opportunity to serve the students and their families. He hoped that the students would be successful in this new stage of their lives. He also mentioned that students should put what they have learned at the service of the people and the country. He declared that you will be the leaders of our people and the future is in your hands. He highlighted the efforts of the ministry to connect universities to the Kurdistan labor market, fill the gaps that exist, find alternatives to the public sector, and provide the necessary job opportunities in the private sector. He also noted that they have worked to diversify technical and vocational education in the Kurdistan Region. He thanked the Presidency of SPU, the University and its teams for their dozens of projects and scientific efforts in the past year and a half to improve their scientific level and capabilities. He reaffirmed his support for the success of the steps and providing a favorable environment for technical and vocational education in the Kurdistan Region and asked them to provide better services than before for a brighter future. Finally, he reiterated his congratulations and wished everyone a peaceful and prosperous life. Then Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, welcomed the participants and congratulated them, He said that the knowledge and information you have learned from your teachers during your studies should be the basis for building a bright future and a material and spiritual resource for yourselves and our country. He also expressed his gratitude to the families of the students who have endured all the obstacles and hardships during this long period and have loyally supported their children to complete their studies and obtain a degree in Sulaimani Polytechnic University. In another part of his speech, the President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University thanked all the deans of colleges, college teachers and employees for their scientific and administrative efforts to train the graduates of 5227 students. Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz said that we have always demanded that universities should not only be a place to award degrees and be proud of the number of graduates, but universities and academic centers should be compatible with today’s developed world and bring them together with the labor market. In the last part of his speech, the president said that our university is currently working on a goal that will bring about great changes, which is to practice the lessons and adapt to the needs of the labor market, as well as to obtain master’s, doctoral and higher diploma degrees, which is a great achievement for everyone. Finally, he thanked the organizing committee, protocol team and student volunteers for holding this beautiful ceremony and once again congratulated himself, the university council as well as the students and their families. Afterwards, video screens showed the speeches of several successful students of Sulaimani Polytechnic University who have been able to achieve their own jobs and innovate in the science they have learned. Then the graduates expressed their gratitude to the presidency, universities, colleges, institutes, and departments for their efforts to reach this day. They serve the people and the country with the knowledge they have learned for themselves. Then the ceremony began with the arrival of the flags and the deans of all colleges and institutes of Sulaimani Polytechnic University and the president and members of the university council. The Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Bakhtiar Obaid Sharif administered the oath of office to all the graduates of scientific departments. Then all the deans asked the President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University to approve the awarding of certificates to the graduates of all scientific departments. Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, approved and awarded certificates to all graduates of colleges and institutes of the university for the year 2022-2023. At the end of the ceremony, awards were given to the graduates (first, second and third) of the scientific departments, which were provided by Mr. Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Party.
