An international workshop on “University campus as regional powerhouse – Case Tampere” took place
On May 26th, 2021, the 5th international training workshop of the joint Digital cultural heritage (DCH)-the Nahrein Network “Creative Cities” Training Program under the title “University campus as regional powerhouse – Case Tampere ” was held.
Over 165 participants from 33 different universities and government and non-government associations and organizations from a total of 7 countries (Iraq, Iran, Tunis, UK, USA, Israel, Algeria) attended the workshop, and locally participants attended from (Sulaymaniyah – Erbil – Kirkuk – Halabja – Koya- Diwaniya and Duhok).
The three hour long workshop was presented by Prof. Olli Niemi, Advisor for the Finnish Education Group – FEG Ltd , retired Professor and civil engineer from Finland.
The Nahrein Network is a collaborative international project between University College London (UCL), University of Oxford, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and the University of Al-Qadisiyah. The Network is supported by an AHRC Global Challenges Research Fund grant from the UK government.
