5892 Students of Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) were Awarded Graduation Certificates in a Special Ceremony

Today, Thursday, November 14, 2024, a graduation ceremony was held for 5892 students of Sulaimani Polytechnic University. The ceremony began with a few moments of silence for the souls of the martyrs, and then the ceremony began with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Quran.

Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, delivered a speech. After welcoming the guests, he congratulated all the students and wished them a bright future. In his speech, he hoped that in the future they will play a significant role in the development of Kurdistan. He reaffirmed the support of the university to the students and said that the level of science is very advanced. He also said that as one of the most prominent scientific and technological centers in the Kurdistan Region, Sulaimani Polytechnic University has always tried to become a bridge between science and industry, between theory and practice, so you, as graduates of this university, are now part of this proud heritage.

Then Dr. Amanj Abdullah Saeed, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, delivered a speech in which he congratulated the students on this holy day and thanked the university presidency, teachers and parents of the students. He also congratulated the 240th anniversary of the establishment of the city of Sulaimani.

He mentioned that the university staff have worked very dedicatedly and loyally to improve the level of science in Kurdistan during their tenure in the past two and a half years. Finally, he wished success to all students.

After that, the students’ representative delivered his speech and expressed his gratitude to the Presidency of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, teachers and parents of all students.

Later, Asst. Prof. Dr. Bakhtiar Obaid Sharif, Vice President for Student Affairs, administered the legal oath of the students, and they promised to work hard and develop our country faithfully.

Then the deans of colleges and institutes asked Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz to award certificates to their students.

At the end, prizes were distributed to the first, second and third students.
