A scientific symposium on drug awareness was held in Dukani Technical Institute of Sulaimani Polytechnic University ,In continuation of the scientific activities of Dukan Technical Institute , Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) on Monday, February 10, 2025, under the supervision and presence of Dr. Hemn Abdullah Dean of Dukan Technical Institute, in the conference hall of the institute and in the presence of district officials and a number of religious teachers students , (A scientific symposium entitled drug addiction between disease and crime, its impact on society). Dr. Ta Zalmi, PhD in Islamic Sharia, speaker and prayer leader, judge Dr. Mohammed Star, PhD in Public Law, investigating judge of Western Sulaimani Security DiPresidentate and Yadgar Ismail, researcher and psychotherapist, head of drug addicts rehabilitation center in Sulaimani Correctional Institution , Teacher shadya Abubakr, Assistant Dean, supervised the symposium. The aim of this scientific activity was to raise awareness among individuals in the community and provide information on drugs, their harms and their impact on society.
