University Research Center organized two workshops.

The Planning Department at the Research Center at Sulaimani Polytechnic University  organized a workshop on the use of SPSS in research and methods of research on 15 and 16 April 2018, in which they described the methods of using the program and researchers’ errors in research and data analysis.

The first workshop, presented by Dr. Adel Fatmi, first presented a summary of the history of the SPSS program, then explained the statistics programs and then the basics of the program and each of the program areas.

Mr. Fatmi then chose a sample of attendees to identify the errors that the researchers were making through their research and data analysis.

The second workshop, presented by Mansoor Irandost, explained the steps of the research process and emphasized the design of the research, which he considered one of the most important parts of the process in general and then talked about different ways and strong points and weak in  researchs in terms of quality and quantity, especially in the doctoral thesis because they produce better results.

The final part of the workshop was devoted to the strategic analysis of mixed research methods based on the nature of the research.

Dr. Adel Fatmi is a member of the Azadi Islamic College, Department of Science and Research in Tehran / Iran. He was Vice-President of Research at Azadi Islamic University – Kurdistan, Iran, in the period 2010-2014. From 2009 to 2013 he was rewarded as the best researcher, He is a member of the American Statistical Institute of SPSS Kurdish. He has 3 published books and 32 papers. He will print his latest book soon and pledge a copy of his book to enrich the Kurdish scientific library in the SPU.

Dr.Mansour Irandost is a member of the Azadi Islamic College in Sna. Holds a PhD in Business Administration and a 15-year Scholar. He oversaw more than 100 major research and 5 doctoral dissertations, teaching research methods, marketing research and mixed research in quality, quantity and statistics analysis at his university. He has also chaired several academic research projects in public and private institutions in Iran.
