Organizing an activity to mark the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdish press.

On 22/4/2018, the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate in cooperation with Dukan Technical Institute, IDEA Foundation for Thoughts and Awareness, Media Academy and Dialogue Net organized number of activities in commemoration of the 120th founding of the Kurdish press.

This event began with a minute of silence for the spirit of our righteous martyrs. The co-director of the syndicate, Mr. Anwar Hussain, Delivered a speech on this occasion then the Minister of Culture, Mr. Khalid Doski delivered his speech, and assist Prof Dr.Kawa Ratha delivered a speech on behalf of Sulaimani Polytechnic University.

At the ceremony, the Dukan Press Journal was distributed among the attendees. This magazine was prepared by professors and students at the Dukan Institute /Relations and Marketing section.

During the event, some journalists presented a seminar entitled “Sound Journalism Produces a Conscious Society”.

The certificate of appreciations and number of books were distributed to 100 journalists from the Kurdish media and associations in recognition of their efforts in their journalistic work.
