A Lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University has been Named Among the world’s most Influential Researchers In a ceremony in Erbil, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government awarded a number of researchers, including Dr. Hiwa Mohsen Ahmad, a lecturer in Bakrajo Technical Institute. He was ranked by Stanford University for 2023 as one of the world’s most influential scientists and researchers. The ceremony was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Erbil, with the supervision and presence of Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Fawzi Hariri, Head of the Office of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Deputy Ministers, consultants, presidents of public and private universities, general directors of the ministry, guests, and researchers. In the ceremony 29 researchers from Kurdistan Regional Government universities were awarded, and Dr. Hiwa Mohsen Ahmad, a lecturer at Bakrajo Technical Institute, was awarded the prize. The Stanford Global Rankings classify academic scientists according to a number of criteria, then it publishes two percent of the world’s most influential researchers. 150 researchers from all Iraqi universities are included in this category, including 29 researchers from Kurdistan universities, in which a teacher of Sulaimani Polytechnic University was included in the list.
