Representatives from Sulaimani Polytechnic University Will Participate in the TVET2 Program in Vienna.
December 5-12, 2023, Asst. Prof. Mr. Awder Mohammed Ahmad, Director of International Relations and Mr. Jamal Kak Bra, Lecturer in the Department of Public Relations and Marketing, Technical College of Management, Members of the University Internationalization Committee participated in the program (TVET2) of internationalization of polytechnic universities of the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Republic of Iraq in Vienna, Austria. Both university representatives were welcomed by the Universities of Applied Sciences Burgenland, ICM and Krem during their stay in Vienna. They received the experience of the three participating universities in terms of the International Office of Universities, the internationalization process of six technical universities in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, namely (Sulaimani Polytechnic University and Duhok Polytechnic University were in the Kurdistan Region and all four technical universities (North, South, Central and Euphrates) were in the Federal Iraq. During their visit, according to the agenda of the universities, they visited the International Office of the universities and several scientific departments and relevant laboratories and intensively discussed the working methods and principles of internationalization of their universities. Moreover, the two university representatives were able to build coordination to participate in the Erasmus Fund Program so that faculty, students, and university staff can participate in future programs funded by European universities, and it is an appropriate solution to empower staff and students with internationalization experience exchange programs. The TVET2 program is funded by UNESCO in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The project has started in 2021 and will work on the final step of developing a strategy for the internationalization of technical universities. International Relations of Sulaimani Polytechnic University is managed by a committee consisting of Asst. Prof. Mr. Awder Mohammed Ahmad Lecturer in Technical College of Engineering, Dr. Basit Burhan Lecturer in Technical College of Practical Sciences, Mr. Jamal Kak Bra, Lecturer in Technical College of Management, Mr. Faraidoon Faizullah, Lecturer in Technical College of Management, Mr. Jutyar Awrahman, Lecturer in Technical College of Informatics and Mr. Ari Faiq, Lecturer in Technical College of Health.
