Sulaimani Polytechnic University agrees with Deutsche Welle Foundation (DW) to promote joint cooperation.

Sulaimani Polytechnic University and the Deutsche Welle Foundation have agreed to strengthen their joint cooperation, paving the way for the inauguration of Kurdish Department Institution.
Dr.Soran Saeed vice president for scientific affairs at the SPU, and Deputy Public Relation Director in North Africa and Middle East Dr. Mohammed Al Sarai signed a joint cooperation agreement, on 14th of May 2017 at the Conference Hall of the Presidency of the University, the agreement includes the establishment of activities and training courses and the opportunity for university students to apply for scholarships provided by the Foundation.
Dr. Soran Saeedsaid in a joint press conference with Mohammed Al Sarai that the agreement comes within the framework of the keenness of presidency of the SPU for capacity building of SPU staff to develop their capabilities and openness to the competent authorities in various fields to benefit from their expertise, clarifying that the Convention includes the establishment of conferences and training courses and to allow university students to participate in the competition for scholarship offered by the German Foundation to those interested in the Middle East.
And Dr.Sarai said that the agreement is important for both sides and paves the way for the opening of the Kurdish section in Deutsche Welle.
