An international workshop Entitled “Opportunities for Postgraduate Studying and Visiting Scholarship from the Nahrein Network and BISI” took place.
On 09/01/2022, an international joint workshop of the #DCH-CHO-NN (Nahrein Network)
entitled, “Opportunities for Postgraduate Studying and Visiting Scholarship from the Nahrein
Network and BISI " took place.
Over 318 participants from 45 different universities and government and non-government
organizations from a total of 6 countries (Iraq, Austria, Algeria, India, United States of America,
and Germany). And locally in Iraq, participants attended the workshop from 15 different cities
and Towns, including (Sulaimani, Erbil, Kirkuk, Halabja, Duhok, Najaf, Babylon, Koya, Zakho,
Darbandikhan, Zarayan, Kalar, Chamchamal, Khanaqin, Taqtaq).
The workshop was presented by Dr. Rozhen Kamal Mohemmed-Amin, Founder and director of
Digital Cultural Heritage Research Center, Co-Director of the Nahrein Network at Sulaimani
Polytechnic University (SPU).
*The Nahrein Network, based at the University College London (UCL), is a collaborative
international project between UCL, University of Oxford, Sulaimani Polytechnic University,
Cultural Heritage Organization, and the University of Al-Qadisiyah. Nahrein Network was
previously funded by an AHRC GCRF from 2017 to 2021. But now are continuing their mission
until 2031, funded by a generous philanthropic gift.
