An international workshop on “Big Things and Small Things: Problem Solving in Museum Imaging” took place.
On May 15th, 2021, the 8th international training workshop of the joint Digital cultural heritage (DCH)-the Nahrein Network “Digital Cultural Heritage” Training Program under the title “Big Things and Small Things: Problem Solving in Museum Imaging” was held.
Over 128 participants from 31 different universities and government and non-government associations and organizations from a total of 9 countries (Iraq, Iran, Yemen, UK, USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Sweden) attended the workshop, and locally participants attended from (Sulaymaniyah – Erbil – Kirkuk – Halabja – kalar- and Duhok).
The two-hour long workshop was presented by Mr. Marc Pelletreau, head of the digital assets team at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha.
The Nahrein Network is a collaborative international project between University College London (UCL), University of Oxford, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and the University of Al-Qadisiyah. The Network is supported by an AHRC Global Challenges Research Fund grant from the UK
