SPU and Huawei Company establish an Academic Center for Training
On Thursday, April 30, 2020, with the attendance of the president of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, assistant professor Dr. Alan Faraidun Ali Amin and senior staff of the university and Space Li, deputy director of the Middle East and senior staff of Huawei Company for communication and technology wrote a dual contract online.
In essence, the contract will bring about a new opening of an academic center for training and coordination.
The president of the SPU signified the contract, especially with such a well-known company. He highlighted that Huawei Company is now our attention and hoped to transfer its experience and services to the university’s lecturers and students.
Prof. Dr. Soran Saeed, the Vice President for Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs, also mentioned that after adopting 5G system globally by this company and then after distributing the coronavirus across the world in which the robots took the role of the nurses and doctors, it is clear that the role of technology is more valuable than before as it could help to fight against the epidemic.
Space Li, deputy director of the Middle East shared his opinion in the meeting and showed his excitement to work with SPU and mentioned that they would advocate opening a new training center.
According to the cores of the contract, the Chinese company will open new advanced labs in all the fields in Sulaimani Polytechnic University. Then, a considerable number of students can study in these labs; they will receive certificates signed by the two parties. Besides, the first course that is going to be opened by the company will be about the introduction to the 5G system and its development in the future.
