Sulaimani Polytechnic University Celebrates a Historic Milestone: The 36th Commencement Ceremony

On December 14, 2025, Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) marked a distinguished milestone in its academic history. Under the supervision of the President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Professor Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, and in the presence of a representative from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with members of the University Council, the university celebrated its 36th graduation ceremony. The dignified event took place at the Teacher Salih Ali Sports Hall.

The ceremony commenced with a moment of silence in honor of the fallen martyrs, followed by verses from the Holy Quran to bless the occasion.

During the proceedings, the Vice President for Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Bakhtiar Obeid Sharif, administered the graduation oath, through which the graduates pledged their commitment and integrity to their academic degrees and future professions.

By virtue of the authority vested in him by the University Council, the University President officially conferred degrees upon the graduates. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to the top-ranking students across the university’s various disciplines, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements.
