Critical Thinking Course in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
The Career Development Center at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, in partnership with the Iraq STEP organization, is offering the program “Critical Thinking in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
Program Objectives:
1. Strengthen the analytical skills of students and young professionals.
2. Challenge existing assumptions.
3. Enable participants to make informed decisions in today’s fast-paced environment.
4. Support learners in adapting to evolving technologies and the changing job market.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
• Use AI tools more effectively and understand their responsibilities regarding information use and ethics.
• Critically evaluate information before relying on automated systems.
• Develop problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills through structured, logical thinking.
• Recognize misinformation and identify cognitive biases in both digital and professional environments.
The course will run for five (5) days, and participants will receive a certificate of participation upon completion.
Participation Requirements:
1. Applicants must be current students or graduates of Sulaimani Polytechnic University.
2. Applicants must commit to attending all course sessions.
3. Final selection will be based on an interview.
