The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Announces Scholarships (Master’s and Doctorate) in South Korea

We inform government employees and teachers affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research that, as part of the memorandum of understanding between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the National Oil Corporation of Korea (KONC), as well as the Korea Development Institute (KDI), the Council of Ministers has announced opportunities for studying in South Korea. These opportunities include the following programs:

Anyone who meets the above-mentioned criteria and wishes to study at South Korean universities, while adhering to the stated guidelines, can submit their application through the provided scholarship link.

  1. Master’s Programs
    • Public Policy
    • Development Policy and Public Administration
    • Intellectual Property and Data Science for Public Policy and Administration
  2. Doctorate Programs
    • Public Policy
    • Development Policy and Public Administration

The following are the conditions and requirements:

  1. Master’s Degree Applicants:
  • Must be a government employee or teacher in the institutions of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of service after obtaining their last degree.
  • A Bachelor’s degree with an average score of at least 65%.
  • Language proficiency requirements vary by program. Applicants are advised to review all details before applying.
  • Applications must align with the applicant’s current field of study.
  • Successful candidates will only receive permission to study, while salaries and allowances will remain unchanged.

  1. Doctorate Degree Applicants:
  • Must be a resident of the Kurdistan Region.
  • If a government employee or teacher, they must have at least 2 years of service after obtaining their last degree.
  • A Master’s degree with an average score of at least 70%.
  • Applications must align with the applicant’s current field of study.
  • Successful candidates, if employed, will only receive permission to study, while salaries and allowances remain unchanged.

Application Deadline and Submission Details:

  • Online applications must be completed by March 19, 2025.

    • Letter stating the absence of their institution.
    • Full name as written in their passport.
    • Workplace name and address.
    • Proposed program (e.g., Master’s in …).
    • Email and phone number.
