Supervised by Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of the University, the Regular Meeting of the University Council was Held in the New Year

Today, Wednesday, December 8, 2025, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, the university council held its regular meeting for the academic year 2024–2025 in the meeting hall of the university presidency.

At the beginning of the meeting, the president extended his congratulations to the university’s teachers, employees, and students on the occasion of the new year.

In another part of the meeting, the president highlighted the directive from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to restructure the Sulaimani Technical Institute into three specialized institutes: the Sulaimani Medical Technical Institute, the Sulaimani Institute of Technology, and the Sulaimani Technical Institute of Administration. He described this development as a significant achievement for the university, contributing to the progress of Sulaimani and Kurdistan. The president also emphasized the importance of further supporting the original institute. On this occasion, he congratulated the dean, teachers, employees, and students of the Sulaimani Technical Institute.

Additionally, during the same meeting, the university council discussed several topics related to scientific, student, and administrative affairs.
