The English Lab Project will be Opened in the Office of the Career Development Center (CDC) at Sulaimani Polytechnic University

In a new scientific approach and supervised by Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, in collaboration with N2N, the project of (English Lab) was opened in the office of Career Development Center (CDC).

Tuesday, 15th of October 2024, at the Center for Career Development (CDC); In the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarhang Sarwat Hama, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education; Julius Kogge Metuge, Director of Neighbors to Nations (N2N) Unlimited Organization; Asst. Prof. Dr.  Younis Saber Abdullah, Dean of Technical College of Health and Medicine; Mr. Ayub Karim, Director of CDC; and Dr. Hogar Mohammed Tofiq, Director of the International English Language Center and a number of department heads; opening ceremony of a new department called (English lab) was taken place.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Ayub Karim thanked the President of SPU for supporting the opening of a new department in their center, and then he pointed out the importance of opening this project in preparing students for the labor market and developing the English language skills of students and graduates.

In another part of the ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarhang Sarwat Hama spoke about the coordination of Sulaimani Polytechnic University with N2N, especially after signing of the memorandum of understanding between the two sides, as well as planning for more joint work in the future. He hoped that such developments would be further expanded in the future.

Julius Kogge Metuge expressed his gratitude for opening of the English Lab in Sulaimani Polytechnic University and spoke about the future plans for opening English courses in the English Lab.

The activities of the English Lab include the opening of face-to-face and online English courses (Self-Study) where students and graduates of the Polytechnic University can benefit from activities to develop their English language skills.
