The first Scientific and Skills Event of Students was Held at Dukan Technical Institute

During the scientific activities of Dukan Technical Institute, this morning 21/5/2024 under the supervision and presence of (Dr. Hemn Abdullah Wasta Ahmad) Dean of Dukan Technical Institute, the first scientific event and students’ skills was held.

This scientific event, which was sponsored by Safra Company, was organized by the students of the Department of Public Relations and Marketing of Dukan Technical Institute.

The aim of the scientific and skills event is to develop the hidden talents and abilities of the students of the Department of Public Relations and Marketing in the field of profession and advertising industry. It also prepares students for the environment and the labor market, and it is a chance to obtain job opportunities in private institutions and media institutions.

The activity began with a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs, then the dean’s speech was delivered by (Dr. Hemn Abdullah Wasta Ahmad) Dean of Dukan Technical Institute.  Later, the speech of the Scientific Event and Student Skills Committee and the Presidency of the Department of Public Relations and Marketing was presented by Mr. Araz Ali Abdulrahman, Head of the Department of Public Relations and Marketing.

In the scientific activity (17) commercial advertising products were exhibited that were prepared by the students Afterwards, a scientific panel evaluated the students’ advertising products, and a discussion was held by Dr. Harman Sherko Nasruddin, Chairman of the Event Committee and Panel Director. Then an open discussion was held for each of (Asst. Prof. Dr. Pave Jamil Ahmad) Dean of College of Humanities of Sulaimani University, (Asst. Prof. Dr. Karwan Abdullah Hawrami Lecturer in the Department of Media, Sulaimani University and (Dr. Diyari Hamid Mahmoud) Director of the Sully Media company for advertisements. The panelists provided detailed evaluation and necessary guidance on the methods and preparation of the advertisement as well as their comments on the advertisement presented to the students and the audience of the event. Then they thanked the students of this scientific department whose products are pleasant, and a good future is expected from them.

Then the event committee announced the first, second and third winners of advertising products and were awarded by (Dr. Hemn Abdullah Wasta Ahmad) Dean of Dukan Technical Institute and Safra Company. The winners of the fourth and fifth products were then awarded by the head of department.

Finally, the Deanship of Dukan Technical Institute awarded the evaluation committee and the event preparation committee. Then all the participating students were presented with certificates of participation.
