A panel discussion on “The Security of Society in the Shadow of New Media” was Held on the Occasion of the 126th Anniversary of Kurdish Journalism

On the occasion of the 126th anniversary of Kurdish journalism and in a joint work of Bakrajo Technical Institute and Kurdistan Technical Institute, a panel on “The Security of Society in the Shadow of New Media” was held at Kurdistan Technical Institute. The panelists included Asst.
Prof. Dr. Kawa Raza, Dean of Bakrajo Technical Institute; Dr. Pave Jamil, Dean of the College of Humanities of Sulaimani University; and Payman Ezadin, a lawyer. The panel was conducted by M.Sc. Omar Hassan, Head of Digital Media Department of Kurdistan Technical Institute. In this panel, each of the panelists discussed the current situation of the media in the Kurdistan Region and the needs of the media for a positive impact on the Kurdish individual and society. The panel was enriched with the participation of the participants and presentation of some aspects of today’s media in the Kurdistan Region. In the final part, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rebwar Malanbi, Dean of Kurdistan Technical Institute presented awards to each of the panelists. It is worth mentioning that, before the panel, the panelists and participants visited a photography exhibition on women’s journalism that was held on the occasion of the 126th anniversary of Kurdish journalism at the Kurdistan Technical Institute.
