Sulaimani Polytechnic University Celebrates Kurdistan Flag Day

Kurdistan Flag Day ceremony was held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University. First, in the crowd of people and government officials the Kurdistan flag was lowered on the Sulaimani Palace building, in the downtown of the city. Then a special panel entitled (Flag, Land, Nation is our Identity) was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kawa Raza, Dean of Bakrajo Technical College, Goran Qadir, Director of Sulaimani Tourism Media and Sirwan Jalal, civil activist. After a few moments of silence and standing for the souls of the martyrs, Dr. Bakhtiar Obaid Sharif, Vice President for Student Affairs, delivered a speech on this occasion and drew the attention of the audience to the importance of preserving national identity, and said that this flag is a symbol of our national identity, so it is important to always shine brightly on the territory of our country. Then each of the panelists highlighted the history and the importance of the flag as a symbol of Kurdistan in all four parts of Kurdistan. Finally, the panelists were awarded certificates by Sulaimani Polytechnic University.
