Two Students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Attended a Summer Course (ESAM-DAAD TUBAF- Freiberg) in Germany

Within the framework of coordination between Sulaimani Polytechnic University and the German organization (DAAD) and the project (ESAM-Education and Skills in Additive Manufacturing), two students of Mechanical Engineering Department (Lavan Kamran Mustafa and Bala Tariq Omar) participated in a summer course entitled (Additive Manufacturing).  Processes) at the University of Freiberg (Technische Universitat Bergakademie Freiberg- TUBAF) in Germany between (7/8/2023 to 18/8/2023).  The course is dedicated to mechanical engineering in engineering colleges, under the supervision of the General Coordinator of DAAD Project in Iraq and Kurdistan, Asst. Prof.  Dr. Abdulqadir Ali Qaddo in coordination with Prof. Dr. Sarkawt Rostam Hassan, Coordinator of Affairs between our University, and the project.  During the course, which was attended by (6) Kurdistan universities and (2) Iraqi universities, the students conducted various trainings, including:

  • Additive manufacturing lectures.
  • CAD POOL training.
  • Visiting Volkswagen (VW) car company.
  • ACTech company for casting prototypes.
  • Practical lessons on Additive manufacturing processes.
  • Teamwork activities.
  • Seminar presentation by participants
