SPU Lecturer Holds workshop on Harmful Effects of Addiction
The Medical Lab Department at the College of Applied Sciences of Halabja at Sulaimani Polytechnic University organized a workshop under the title “Addiction” for Dr. Jihad Ibrahim Hama on 20th December, 2023.
At the outset of the workshop, Dr. Osman Abdulrahman, the Assistant of the College Dean welcomed the attendees, stressing that these scientific events aim to raise awareness of the members of the society and shed new light on the harmful effects of addiction.
Afterwards, Dr. Jihad briefed them on the ways of addiction, scientific methods of preventing addiction including addiction to drugs, smoking and electronic games. The audience was happy for the workshop which was focused on pressing issues and recommendations for addressing the issue.
