The studying and enrollment process for Oil and Energy Engineering Department will start in Sulaimani Polytechnic University.

The academic study of this year (2016-2017) will start with the opening of Oil and Energy Engineering department in SPU that will start education process with Bologna Process.

Dr.Nabeel Adel Taib Talabani Head of Oil Engineering Department stated, we have received many requests from international oil company to provide them with local staff with high slandered international qualification, thus Dr.Soran Saeed vice president for scientific affairs at SPU with the supervision of the British Council has signed an agreement with Forth Valley College-Scotland &Basra Oil Institute on this regard.

He added, during our visit to Britain, we have prepared a program for studying in Oil Engineering section and it was revised by Forth Valley College, and in the current time, we are preparing the practical program of studying which will be similar to the program conducted in Scotland.

As for College Admission Conditions, Dr.Adel said, the pupil should have high school diploma certificate, besides each one will be interviewed and examined to evaluate his capabilities, moreover other students of Bachelor and master degree can continue their study in the college and we will try to grant the students not only our faculty certification but also Scotland Ministerial Certificate that most of the international companies are preferring , besides many of the European Universities want to get that certificate from Scotland.

It is worth to mention that the University Council approved the opening of this section in March 2016, and in June Dr.Nabil Adel was nominated to be the head of this section, thus the preparation for the studying is almost finished and the studying process will start this year.
