SPU Confirms Its Desire to Join the Association of Arab Universities

Dr.Alan Faraydoon president of the SPU received a delegation headed by the Association of Arab Universities, the General Secretary of the Association, and Dr. Sultan Abu Urabi at the presidency of the university on 31st of July 2016.

During that meeting, SPU confirmed its desire to join the Association of Arab Universities, indicating that this comes within the framework of its keenness openness to the scientific and academic regional and global community to cement her experience, while Union expressed welcome to do so, and his willingness show demand for next year’s conference officially for approval.

The Director of academic and public relations at the university,Mr.Bakhtiar Obaid Sharif said that the president of the SPU briefed the representatives of the Association on the “agreements and memorandum of understanding concluded by the SPU with dozens of Kurdish and Iraqi ,Arab, regional and international Universities.”
Mr.Bakhtiar added , the delegation of the Association of Arab Universities ” expressed his admiration for the steady progress of Sulaimani Polytechnic University and called for renewing the file they submitted to join the Association in 2014 noting that the representatives of the Association of Arab universities ” pledged to offer request SulaImani Polytechnic University to join the Association in the next Congress for approval officially .
A delegation of the Arab Universities Association made a tour in the presidency of the SPU, and it included computer science Institute and Cultural Center and the center of the English language, and its affiliates.

The delegation was consisting of General Secretary Assistant of the Federation and President of Anbar University Dr.Mohamed Hamdan as well as president of Salahadden University Dr.Ahmed Anwar Dizayee.
