Polytechnic University Students Progress of the Project on Applying Electronic System In KRG System

Human Development University organizes the third annual festival on the fields of computer and information technology in collaboration with the Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and students of faculty of technical informatics and computer science institutes participated in the festival with six unique projects.

In order to encourage students in the various scientific activities, and under the name of patents in Technology, both of SPU in collaboration with Human Development University organized the third annual festival in the second camp of the university ,Dr.Alan Faraidoon president of SPU, and Dr.Soran Saeid Dean and vice president for scientific affairs as well as president of Human Development University Dr.Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed attended the festival, Where students presented 65 projects in the fields of computer and information technology and students of faculty of technical informatics and computer science institutes participatde in the festival with six unique projects .

Professor Mohamed Ahmed head of information technology in the informatics college said that
our students in the second and fourth phases presented six projects and were on the first and second rank, the projects were on Database, mobile application, web site and surveillance system.
He said one of the important projects that we hope that the province of Sulaymania apply is, everyone in the city can get the services on the mobile phone when facing any shortage in the areas of ( water, electricity , roads … ) by contacting the directorates of these fields even when there is no Internet services, and the contact will be through sending SMS to the directorate, to identify the problem and fix it, this project is the first of its kind in Kurdistan and Iraq.
The other project presented by our students is the development of surveillance systems in prisons and camps which provide a great cooperation to peshmarga…

Another student named (Kawan Othman Mustafa) presented a project of lightening the roads
Solar-powered and light up the road at the pedestrian and vehicle traffic and after their passage it turned off.

Khwshkan hawar,another student from second phase said, We have prepared a website for interior sections of students and through which students can use their identities and password to enter the site and get the information they want , and each student can see only what is dealing with at the same time responsible for internal department and the presidency of the university can see all the information of the students even the University may also use the site to hire and lay off some staff.

It’s worth mentioning that SPU and in collaboration with other universities organize annually numbers of festivals and activities for its students to encourage them and evaluate their capabilities and providing them job opportunities.
