Halabja Technical Institute organized it’s first Scientific Symposium on Tourism and Environment

Halabja Technical Institute in coordination with Directorate of Tourism in Halabja and University of Halabja organized a symposium entitled (Tourism Role and Environmental pollution impact on Health and Food Safety), the symposium contained researches and different academic scenarios were a presented.

Dr. Sherzad Towfiq Mohamed vice president for Administration and Financial Affairs in the SPU delivered a speech and said,our responsibility is not only teaching and educating our students on the contrary our role is bigger than that and we have achieved many success in this regard, thus we have presented many services and activities in different cities in Kurdistan.

He added, due to the importance of Halabja in our nation’s history, we emphasized the service of this city repeatedly,

Thus, our Institute today is organizing the first scientific symposium to present researches that figure out the problems that Halabja suffering from and we wish that we could have a role in solving these problems.

Then lecturer, Ako Mohamed Towfiq, Head of Administration section as well as the Symposium Organizing Committee, during his speech pointed to the impacts of the polluted environment on the health and said, safety of health and food are the most important points that our country should focus on ,and people should get information about that to keep the environment clean,one of which ways of watering the Agricultural lands and it’s positive impact on people health.

It is worth to mention that Halabja is one of the most important governorate in Kurdistan and Iraq in tourist considerations, it has 6 kinds of tourism, therefore it forms a strong economic resource for our region for now and future.
