 Storytelling through the Ages​

From the earliest Mesopotamian art, to modern day Iraqi artists, storytelling has been with us forever. In this talk, we will go over the past, the present and even the future of Iraqi storytelling art. Topics will include art history, painting, sculpture, computer graphics, and even virtual reality! This presentation is open to all ages, and while told in English and translated, it will be heavily focused on imagery and video, for everyone  to enjoy.

Speaker Biography: David Andrade is an Emmy nominated animator and entrepreneur who has worked in television, movies, and games. His credits include Life of Pi, Sesame Street, Man in the High Castle, 300: Rise of an Empire, Transformers: War for Cybertron, and much more! In 2013 David co-founded a new animation studio: Theory Studios, the world’s first virtual animation company with artists working around the globe. With 60 people in 7 countries working together, Theory is revolutionizing the way digital art is made.
Mr. David Andrade of Theory Studios will lead the seminar series titled “Using Animation as a Platform for Communication.” These sessions will provide support for all levels of digital artists from novice and animation hobbyists to experienced animators with tips and strategies to create meaningful stories,animation, and comics while communicating difficult messages.
