Representatives Of Sulaimani Polytechnic University Are Taking Part In Two Global Courses For The Preparation Of Administrative And Training Leaders.

Sulaimani Polytechnic University stressed its keenness to upgrade the capabilities of its employees and provide them with new skills. This is usually achieved by achieving its objectives to enhance its role in serving the labor and production sectors for the development of Kurdistan society.

The Dean of the Technical College of Administration(TCA) , Dr. Hakim Othman said that the representatives of the University participated in two training sessions held in Erbil for the period from 9 to 13 July 2017, by the British Council in Erbil in cooperation with the Organization for Reform, Technical Education and Vocational Training in Iraq and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO, under the auspices of the European Union in the framework of the agreements concluded with the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the federal and Kurdish governments to reform the education and technical and vocational education sectors in Iraq, known as TVET, That representatives of the universities of Erbil and Duhok Polytechnic participated in the sessions as well as others from the sectors of education and vocational training in the Ministries of Education and Labor and Social Affairs
Dr.Hakim added that the first session was concerned with the preparation of administrative leaders and the development of curricula and training and activating the relationship with the labor market, noting that Deans of both Technical College of Administration and Dukan Technical Institute, Dr.Kawa Retha participated in it.
Dr.Sarkawt Rostem Hassan a lecturer at Technical College of Engineering (TCE)said the second session was entitled super trainer and it was dedicated to representatives of technical and professional study in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, noting that ,12 participants from the technical and vocational education sector participated as representatives of the SPU and Sulaimani governorate.

Dr.Sarkawt explained that the course program focused on improving the quality of teaching in the technical and vocational sector according to the latest international standards, pointing out that training consisted of six stages , the first three of them to prepare the participants as trainers under the supervision of the British international expert Dr. Chris Smith, while the second three stages focused on enabling trainers to train 10-12 participants, who are given the title of Master Trainer, in the hope that they will be qualified to train more people later.
