Organizing Of a Scientific Seminar to The Minister Of Higher Education at Sulaimani Polytechnic University

The minister of Higher Education(Dr.Yousif Goran) delivered a presentation entitled “A road map for the development of higher education in Kurdistan” in a scientific seminar organized by Sulaimani Polytechnic University in cooperation with Kurdistan Academics Association on Sunday 4/3/2015 in the Peramerd Hall in SPU; president of the Kurdistan Academics Association and Governor of Sulaimani (Dr.Aso Faraydoon) as well as presidents of Kurdistan Region Universities and Deans, professors of the universities attended the seminar.

The Minister of Higher Education and scientific research talked about ways of developing level of higher education and the efforts of the ministry of higher education and scientific research to develop rank of Kurdistan universities, the minister emphasized on the importance of the scientific research not only to promote the universities rank but also to rebuild the society and reinforce the affiliation and the commitment of the university to the community which is unfortunately not serviceable since five professors sharing a writing of a single research, thus he stressed on the adopting the national ranking system to develop the rank of Kurdistan Universities internationally , and “Bologna Process” is an international system therefore, he added the Ministry of Higher Education is working hard to implement the system.

During the seminar Dr.Aso Faraydoon governor of Sulaimani also delivered a speech and during which he pointed to the importance of focusing on the quality of the research.

And finally the president of SPU Dr.Alan F Ali praised the importance of these scientific debates in the development of university level in the province of Kurdistan.
