The postgraduate degree awarded is a Master’s in Food Science and Quality Control. These degree recipients must be highly skilled and trained in their field of study, with advanced knowledge and practices.

Course Name (Department Name): MSc. in Food Science and Quality Control.

Course Description: 

According to the regulation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the duration of study is 2 years as below:

  • First Year:
  1. The 1st Semester comprises five modules, including two general modules and three core modules relevant to the department, and they follow the class activities such as Assignments, seminars, quizzes, and exams with other activities.
  2. The 2nd Semester includes five core modules specifically related to the department, and they follow the class activities such as Assignments, seminars, quizzes, and exams with other activities.
  • Second year: In the second year, comprised of two semesters (1st and 2nd Semester), students undertake their MSc. Thesis

The MSc program is structured with a total of 120 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits as follows:

Students with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field of Food Science relevant to the selected program. Sufficient academic performance throughout bachelor’s degree, as determined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

According to the application opens via the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

IELTS 5.0 overall, or equivalent, also (Pre- Intermediate) certificate is accepted from international English language centers that belong to universities.

  • The postgraduate scientific committee of the college specifies including (four or five) core modules.
  • An examination that is written usually takes three hours.
  • The competition is among students who succeed in the exam.
  • Based on the number of seats available, students who pass the exam competing with one another.

During the MSc at TCAS, students are required to conduct independent, individual research in the academic field of their chosen master’s program including: 

  • Get the supervisor’s approval on the thesis.
  • College formatting approval with college affiliation (before defense).
  • Submit the first copy of the MSc thesis to the graduate study office.
  • Scientific evaluation approval of master’s thesis. 
  • Submit a paper copy to the thesis examination committee.
  • Makes the corrections specified by the thesis examination committee.
  • Singed papers (after successful defense).

Ph.D. Program:

A PhD is the highest possible academic degree a student can obtain. Students who graduate with a Ph.D. degree should possess advanced knowledge and a high level of skills and techniques associated with their chosen subject area.

Course Description: 

According to the regulation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the duration of study is 3 years as below:

  • First Year:

  2. The 2nd Semester includes formulating the PhD thesis proposal, assigning a supervisor, and delivering a seminar presentation.
  • Second and Third Years: Each year comprises of two semesters (1st and 2nd Semester), and students undertake their Ph.D. Thesis.

The Ph.D. program is structured with a total of 180 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits as follows:

Must have an MSc Certificate in the field of Food Science. Individuals who meet the department’s minimum requirements and who fit the guidelines set forth by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
