A Brief about the department:

business administration department is one of the branches of human science and the goal of this department is working on preparing the students in order to be able to work in both public and private sectors through using that knowledge and information that they will learn during the two years of study at the technical institute of Sulaimany and, after graduation they will receive the technical diploma certificate.

Historical summery about the department:

this department was first established in 1989 under the name of ( the warehouse administration department ) and the number of the first group of the graduated students was 200 students also between the years (1993 -1994) the name of the department was changed to (office administration )  and the aim of this department was preparing  employees in order to be capable to work in the field of  managing office works in both public and private sectors, after that between years of (1996- 1997) the  warehouse administration  department has been opened for the second time, in that time the  department was classified into two branches    (office administration branch  and warehouse branch ) and that situation was continued till holding the first conference of technical institutes foundation in 27/28 – 8-2000 and in the conference, a new decision has been made and it was closing both (office administration branch  and warehouse branch )  and the conference staff  decided to open a new department under the name (business administration ) in the year 2000-2001 , and till now this department has about 4512 graduated students.

Aims of the department:

One of the main goals of this department is preparing and training the students so as to be skillful and professional employees in the business administration field in order to be qualified for working in both public and private sectors.

Importance of the department in the market:

This department is very important because on one hand   implementing the administration principles will lead to having a developed community and on the other hand, it will lead to implementing the principle of justice in the community.

Importance of the department in society:

undoubtedly, the development of community and the life of people is related to well-managing of those resources that are available in the community so the existence of a suitable and good administration system always leads to having a developed community and people will be able to live in a luxurious life.

Types of works can be implemented by the graduates of this department:

The graduated people of this department will be able to perform all the types of administration and management jobs which include (planning. organizing, monitoring and directing)

Which title can be given to the graduates of this department?

the graduate students from the business administration department, from the beginning of their employment, the first job title that they will receive it is known as  (clerk) and the highest job title that they will receive it  according to the job promotion system, is known as  ( developed manager )

What are pre-requisites of the students enable the success in this department:

This department will accept those students who will graduate of these departments in high school and they are: trade department and literary department
