About CDC
The Career Development Center (CDC) was established in 2015. The Career Development Center helps job seekers access the skills and resources necessary to succeed in the workforce, whether you’re just starting college, getting ready to graduate or actively looking for a job, a career development center can be a valuable resource.
CDC aims to engage students and alumni with employers and experiential opportunities that help them reach their professional goals. Furthermore, guide students and alumni as they explore their unique self (interests, values, personality, skills) as well as occupational possibilities. It helps to educate students, alumni on the lifelong nature of career development, and as well as skills and strategies for identifying meaningful employment. Finally, make better use of the web, databases, and other technology to broaden our reach and enhance our services to students and employers.
Our Services
- Conducting an Internship program.
- Developing the abilities and skills of students and alumni of university and Institutions through seminars, workshops, and courses.
- Building linkages between the labor market and the university through the internship program, conducting research and surveys within the labor market, and presenting the results of the surveys for curriculum development purposes.
- Establish relationships with local and international organizations and companies to train and employ university and institution alumni.
- Conduct Job Fairs to create direct contacts between students, alumni, and employers to obtain jobs and training.
- Conducting a Design Day to showcase students’ abilities and present their projects and innovations to meet the needs of the labor market in collaboration with the department and expert teachers.

Symposium
The Role of Academic and Health Centers in Raising Awareness Among Cancer Patients:

A scientific symposium on meningitis in children:
On Tuesday (2023/5/2) in the campus of technical colleges Chawarchra, in the presence of Mr. (Prof. Younis Saber Abdullah) Dean of Technical College of Health and Medicine, Dean of the College, representatives of Scientific Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University and a number of teachers and academics, Technical College of Health and Medicine in coordination with the Scientific Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University held a scientific symposium entitled (Meningitis in Children). Several important scientific topics related to the disease, symptoms, treatment, causes of infection and diagnostic methods were presented. Finally, the participants enriched the symposium with heir questions.
The role of the media was presented in a symposium:
In order to convey the positive role of the media, especially in the Kurdish media, the Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University and Sulaimani University in coordination with Media Monitoring Organization (CMK) held a symposium entitled (Role and Responsibility of Kurdish Media in Fighting Crime). In commemoration of the 125th anniversary of Kurdish journalism, the Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University and Sulaimani University in coordination with Media Monitoring Organization (CMK) and in the presence of Vice Rectors and a number of university teachers and researchers A symposium was presented on the purity of the martyrs of the path of freedom. Welcoming speech was delivered by Prof. Ali Mohammed Salih, Director of Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University. Prof. Shuan Adam, a lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented a paper entitled (Judicial Criteria, Professional Rules of the Media and its Role in Crime Coverage). Then Prof. Kurdistan Omar, a lecturer at Sulaimani University, presented a paper on the role of Kurdish media in the social confusion of the recipient. Finally, Prof. Karzan Mohammed, a lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented a paper on (Applicable Laws and Their Role in Limiting Media Crimes).
The end of the symposium was enriched with questions and comments from the participants.
Kurdish media, especially social media, has played a significant and irresponsible role in the world and in the Kurdistan Region in recent years, especially in the field of social customs and traditions and revealing some aspects of crime that should not be revealed.

Seminar about the Impact of economic planning in improving the profits of beekeeping fields:
On Wednesday 23/2/2022 Economic Group of Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center conducted a seminar for scientific research conducted by the Economic Group of our Center presented by “Dr. Yasin Abdulrahman” under the title “ The Impact of economic planning in Improving the Profits of beekeeping fields – Halabja Governorate as a model”.
Seminar about the removal of heavy metals from contaminated water using low-cost absorbents:
In the continuation of scientific activities of the Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, a scientific seminar was held to publish the latest research and information on soil and water in the Kurdistan Region and pay attention to water resources. Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) held a scientific seminar entitled: “Removal of Heavy Substances from Wastewater using Low Costs Adsorbents” on 15 June 2022 at 11:00 pm. In the seminar, the researcher spoke about the efforts to conduct research to clean drinking water from heavy and harmful substances and said that they worked on the Garmian region and found that the relevant parties can be able to remove heavy materials. Note that most of the raw materials are currently imported from abroad. The participants expressed their questions and comments to further enrich the scientific topic.

On 30/7/2022 Sulaimani Economic Debate was held under the slogan (Strong Economy Builds a Strong State) at Ramada Hotel under the supervision of the Bureau of Democratic Organizations and in collaboration with the Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Sulaimani Chamber of Commerce.

Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center in collaboration with Kurdish Media Monitoring Organization (CMK) organized a joint activity entitled “Khalqi for Narrating Journalistic Experience” in Nali Hall of the University Presidency Alan Faraidoon Ali Amin, Rector of Sulaimani. Polytechnic University, Vice Rectors for Scientific, Administrative and Financial Affairs and a number of members of the leadership and press office of the PUK. and friends of artists, journalists, media workers, teachers, university employees and media outlets.
Halabja Scientific Research Center for Chemical Weapons Residues Studies at Sulaimani Polytechnic University held a meeting to serve the province .Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 10 am in the hall of the monument of martyrs of Halabja. Alan Faraidoon Ali Amin, Rector of Sulaimani Polytechnic University; Soran Abubakr, Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education; Dana Ahmad Mustafa, Assistant Rector for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Luqman Abdulqadir, President of the Association of Chemical Weapons Victims and a significant number of representatives of party and government agencies, civil society organizations and teachers, Halabja Research Center for Chemical Weapons Studies. Revival of Halabja after 3/1.
First, the participants stood in silence for a minute for the souls of the martyrs of Halabja and all the martyrs of the Kurdistan freedom path, then by Prof. Alan Faraidoon Ali Amin In a speech, the President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University welcomed the guests of the scientific meeting and thanked Halabja Technical College of Practical Sciences for organizing the event. In his speech, the president of Sulaimani Polytechnic University referred to the serious crime committed against Halabja in 1988/3/16 by the leaders of the destroyed Ba’ath regime, resulting in 5,000 innocent citizens killed and hundreds of people injured and displaced. He stressed that everyone should help and support the revival of this beloved city, which has not been compensated according to the need and the magnitude of the crime committed against it.He also said that we in Sulaimani Polytechnic University in our first attempt to revive the higher education sector and serve the students of this region We opened Halabja Technical Institute and then Halabja Technical College of Practical Sciences. So far, thousands of students have graduated and become self-employed. P.D. Alan Faraidoon Ali Amin said that due to the great needs of the region, last year in another attempt on 2021/1/31 we decided (Halabja Research Center for the Study of Chemical Weapons Residues) in Halabja so that we can serve the people of the region and conduct scientific field research on chemical weapons residues and various diseases.
The renewal congress of the Green Kurdistan Association was successfully held. The sixth congress of the Kurdistan Association began today. The conference began with a moment of silence for the souls of the martyrs, then through a feature the work and activities of the past few years were presented. It is worth mentioning that Asst.Prof.Dr. Ali Mohammed Saleh presented in a seminar, the importance of environmental protection and the causes and consequences of environmental pollution and its solutions in a scientific manner and then presented the importance and role of research and joint work and drafting long-term plans to deal with environmental problems

On (5-4-2022) on World Energy Day, Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center in collaboration with Technical College of Engineering, Department of Petroleum and Energy organized a workshop entitled “The influence of sustainable energy solutions”.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Ali Mohammed Saleh, Head of Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Dean of College of Engineering, Prof. Atta Sheikh Karim, Head of Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering and a number of teachers of the college.
The aim of the workshop was to focus on energy conservation methods in the world, as well as the use of energy resources in the Kurdistan Region and in many countries around the world. Three topics were presented in the workshop:
The first paper was presented by Dr. Diyar Omar Kaka from the Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering entitled “The economic impact energy sources in Kurdistan reign”.
The second topic was presented by Karzan Qadir Mohammed from the Department of Electrical Power Engineering entitled “The impact of distributed generation power system”.
The third topic was presented by Shadman Shukri Saeed, Engineer in Sulaimani Electricity Directorate entitled “The role of renewable energy in Kurdistan as a source of electricity generation”.
Finally, the presenters of the workshop answered many of the serious questions of the participants and the workshop ended with a scientific and informative discussion.
Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center in collaboration with Technical College of Engineering Department of Oil and Energy organized a workshop entitled “The Role and Influence of Energy in Directing Political and Economic Relations” today in the seminar hall of Chawarchra Technical Colleges.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Ali Mohammed Saleh, Head of Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Dean of College of Engineering, Prof. Atta Sheikh Karim and a number of teachers of the college.
Four topics were presented in the workshop:
The first paper was presented by Rebwar Mohammed Amin, holder of a master’s degree in oil and gas contracts, entitled “Procedures for concluding oil and gas contracts according to international and regional laws”.
The second paper was presented by Bahjat Ali Ahmad, holder of a master’s degree in Iraqi oil contracts, entitled “Solving the legal problems of oil contracts”.
The third paper was presented by Miran Hassan Hussein, Master’s Degree in International Relations, entitled “The Impact of Gas in Directing International Policy”.
The fourth paper was presented by Khabat Mohammed Ahmad, holder of a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering, entitled “The role and position of oil and gas in the new energy map of the Kurdistan Region at the regional and international levels.”
Finally, the presenters of the workshop answered many of the serious questions of the participants and the workshop ended with a scientific and informative discussion.
On World Mother Language Day, a workshop entitled “The Need for Awareness in Strengthening, Development and Teaching of Mother Language” was held at the Presidency of Sulaimani Polytechnic University.
In the presence of Professor Dr. Alan Faraidoon Ali Amin, Rector of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Prof. Soran Abubakr, Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dana Ahmad, Vice Rector for Administrative and Financial Affairs and a number of researchers and linguists On the occasion of World Mother Language Day, Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center organized a workshop entitled “The Need for Awareness in Strengthening, Development and Teaching Mother Language”. Dr. Karzan Mohammed, Expert in Media Law and M. Choli Asad, Expert in Media Language.
At the beginning of the workshop, Professor Dr. Alan Faraidoon Ali Amin, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, said: “Our university has always tried to play a major role in serving society.
Because the mother tongue is life and grows with us, we must all preserve this sweet language and make it the basis of our discussions in academic and scientific centers”.
Professor Dr. Alan Faraidoon said: “Mother tongue plays a major role in universities for teaching and education so that we can build a strong generation that has the ability to discuss in society and have good relations with the environment to serve the future of society. He named his laboratories after those who have done great service to the Kurdish language”.
Then M. Choli Assad, a media expert and a lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented a historical brief about World Mother’s Day, which first originated in Bangladesh, and highlighted the positive aspects of the mother tongue that has a great impact on the development of childhood and personality. Mother tongue should be the first choice in any society.
Afterwards, Prof. Karzan Mohammed, an expert in media law and a lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented awareness about linguistic law and the role of the media in educating a moderate individual, as well as several theories about the role and impact of mother tongue He pointed out the stages of development of the Kurdish language.
Finally, in an open discussion, the participants enriched the workshop with their views and comments and gifts of Sulaimani Polytechnic University were presented to two university professors (Prof. Karzan Mohammed and M. Choli Asad).
Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center organized a workshop entitled “Improving the Capacity of Oil Product Companies in the Kurdistan Region” on Thursday morning 24-2-2022.
Three topics were presented in the workshop:

Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University participated in a workshop entitled “Assessing the Risks of Corruption and Investigate its Causes and How to Prevent Corruption”, in this context on Sunday (June 5, 2022) a two-day workshop to assess the risks of corruption in the education sector The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the President of the Hygiene Commission in the Kurdistan Region, advisors and general directors of both sides, representatives of some Kurdistan universities by two experts in the field of corruption who work as trainers in the Iraqi Office of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The Main Cause of Water Pollution in Iraq
Today Monday (8/5/2023) workshop (The role of media in combating drought and its effects in raising community awareness) was supervised by the Research Center in collaboration with the Technical College of Management in the campus of Chawarchra Technical Colleges Teachers and students held.
First, P.I.D. Ali Mohammed Saleh, who holds a master’s and doctoral degree in the field of environment, presented a paper on the environment and its scientific importance. Yahya Omar Reshawi spoke about the media and its role in creating environmental awareness.
Then Sarwar Karadaghi, an activist and journalist, discussed the level of attention of the Kurdish media to environmental issues.
The workshop discussed the increasing environmental problems, it was pointed out that the media has not paid enough attention to environmental problems and the environment has not become their biggest concern.
Then the participants asked questions and comments about environmental problems and the role of the media, and then answered.
