Academic Departments
The department of Computer science employs different techniques and strategies to help the students learn more about technology in general and computer science in particular. The cutting edge programs and applications which are useful in today’s world are studied and examined in this department. The department was established in 2017.
Business Administration science is the study of the methods, techniques, and concepts that are used in running a business. This science deals with many important topics in the business world, such as marketing, accounting, human resources, production management, economics, statistics, and how to write administrative correspondence.
This department was launched in 2015 at Darbandikhan Technical Institute. Until now more than 500 students have graduated from this department and many of them were employed in the health sectors in Kurdistan.
One of the departments of the Darbandikhan Technical Institute is Electrical Techniques. This department is responsible for educating students in the field of electricity.
Surveying is the science that searches for different ways to represent the ground surface and what it contains of natural and fabricated features on a map with a specific scale. The Department of Surveying was established at Darbandikhan Technical Institute in 2011. The department provides the labor market with staffs that trained in the use of advanced surveying equipment. This could be served by covering principles and techniques of field measurements.

The department of Medical Laboratory in Darbandikhan Technical Institute SPU is located in Darbandikhan city and offers 2 years studying for a technical diploma in medical laboratory techniques. The department is established in 2025 under the name of ML. Medical Laboratory integrates key elements of biology, chemistry, and medicine focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases using clinical laboratory analyses.
