The department was established in the 2017–2018 academic year and includes approximately 420 male and female students across all academic levels, studying under both the Bologna and annual systems. The department is supervised by around 58 professors and assistant lecturers who are responsible for its academic and administrative affairs. The department provides intensive practical training in clinics and hospitals, in addition to teaching methods in the college laboratories. Students graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences.

The duration of undergraduate study is four years (8 semesters) in all the departments of the technical college of engineering.   The courses (Modules) will be specified by the departments during each semester (Fall Semester and Spring Semester).  Usually, the Fall semester starts in September and the spring semester starts in January.
