A Workshop Entitled (Current Situation and Future of Urban Planning) was Held

In the continuation of scientific activities of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Technical College of Engineering held a scientific workshop entitled (Current Situation and Future of Urban Planning).

On Thursday morning, May 12th, 2022, Technical College of Engineering of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Department of Urban Planning in Chawarchra held a workshop entitled (Current Situation and Future of Urban Planning). The workshop aimed to clarify and introduce the obstacles facing the Department of Urban Planning.

The workshop was held in the presence of (Prof. Ata Sheikh Karim), the Dean of Technical College of Engineering, Head of Urban Planning Department and many students and teachers.

In the workshop, the dean of the College delivered a speech in which he thanked the students and the organizers of the workshop and expressed their support and the support of the President of the University and indicated that they will continue delivering new activities to serve students.

Topics presented in the workshop:

  1. Dr. Hoshyar Qadir – Head of Department of Urban Planning Engineering presented a paper entitled (History of Establishment of Urban Planning Department).
  2. Mr. Ahmad Taha Ahmad – A second-grade student presented a paper entitled (Objectives and works of the Department of Urban Planning).
  3. Alan Khalid Sharif – A fourth-grade student presented an article about his first and second grade experiences.
  4. Nahla Jamal Abdullah – A fourth-grade student presented an article about her third and fourth grade experiences.
  5. Nawa Abdullah Arif and Marwa Bakhtiar Rasul, students in the Department of Urban Planning Engineering, presented a paper on (Post Graduation Experience and Job Opportunities).
  6. Zhir Fouad Mohammed (A Lecturer) presented an article on the publication of SPU Bike Sharing Project.
  7. Professor Dr. Hoshyar Qadir Mustafa presented an article about (15-Minute cities).

The workshop ended with an intense and scientific discussion between the participants and the presenters.
