Computerizing Quality Assurance Process (CAD and Portfolio) of University Teachers was Presented in a Workshop
The process of computerizing the university is one of the goals of Sulaimani Polytechnic University that has been implemented since the beginning of 2015. Every year and some parts of the university services are made available online to benefit teachers, employees and students wherever they are. A workshop was held for the representatives of colleges and institutes of Sulaimani Polytechnic University.
On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in the presence of Prof. Soran Abubakr Mohammed, vice president of SPU for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, and Quality Assurance Coordinators in all colleges and institutes of Sulaimani Polytechnic University a workshop on computerizing the process of Quality Assuarance and Teacher’s Portfolio was conducted.
The workshop was organized by the Directorate of Information Technology and Statistics and the Directorate of Quality Assurance of the university.
In his speech, Prof. Soran Abubakr Mohammed welcomed the participants and thanked the staff of Information Technology and Statistics Directorate for the university website. The directorate has worked hard to prepare the system in coordination with Quality Assurance Directorate university.
The workshop consisted of three parts. In his presentation, Mr. Jamal KakaBra highlighted the services provided by the university staff in coordination with the Quality Assurance and pointed out that all the process will gradually be computerized. He explained the importance of the system to the teachers and the staff.
After that, Mr. Karzan Fatih, the Director of Quality Assurance of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented the problems of quality assurance that faced colleges and institutes in recent years in the scientific departments. He also mentioned the important parts of quality assurance that have a significant role in the national ranking of all departments.
In the end, Mrs. Zhana Fidakar, from the Directorate of Information Technology and Statistics of the University Website Department presented all parts of the system. She was accompanied by Mrs. Mahnaz Hussein and Mohammed Dara Yara designed the system. As they stated, the system consists of four parts, including both CAD and Teacher’s Portfolio (TP). Teachers can upload their information and activities into the system and can easily produce the points obtained from active and inactive CAD and TP.
The participants were given a chance to share any insights they had during all parts of the workshop.
