Effects of media on Kurdish Society: a Debate

Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU) and Debate Organization held a debate on the effects of media on the Kurdish Society to provide new insight and analyze the sensitive topics that are directly connected to the Kurdish society. On 12.10.2020, at the Cultural SPU Center, Dr. Karwan Ali (university lecturer), Ahmed Rafeeq(Journalist), and Dr. Frishta (Psychologist) delivered the debate at the SPU seminar hall. It is worth noting that the event was sponsored by Mam Humanitarian Organization, SargallwCompany, SPU, and Debate Organization.

The event commenced with a speech by Dr. Dana Ahmed Mustafa, university vice-president for Administration and Finance. He underpinned the important role of holding such events so that Kurdish society will be more familiar with the advantages and disadvantages of media, and he emphasized that SPU is always there for conducting any events that serve the Kurdish Society.

Later, a speech was given by Hassan Majeed, the president of Debate Organization, in which he illustrated the aim and objective of the debate and he thanked SPU, Mam Humanitarian Organization, and Sargallw Company since they provided support for conducting the event.
