An international workshop on “Land use bylaws and cities” took place.
On January 20th, 2021, the 1st international training workshop of the joint Digital cultural heritage (DCH)-the Nahrein Network “creative cities” Training Program under the title “Land use bylaws and cities” was held. Over 186 participants from 31 different universities and government and non-government organizations from a total of 4 countries (Iraq, USA, Australia, UK) attended the workshop.
Theone hour and a half workshop was presented by Dr. Sara Alinaghi Pour, Municipal Planner at the City of Chestermere, Canada. During the webinar, Dr. Sara discussed the land use bylaws of Canada. The Nahrein Network is a collaborative international project between University College London (UCL), University of Oxford, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and the University of Al-Qadisiyah. The Network is supported by an AHRC Global Challenges Research Fund grant from the UK government.
