“Community Response” Course for Health and Safety Officials and Civil Defense Personnel Held at Sulaimani Polytechnic University
Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, University President, and under the oversight of Assist. Prof. Dr. Bakhtiar Obaid Sharif, Assistant to the University President for Student Affairs, the Health and Safety DiPresidentate at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, in coordination with the Migration and Displacement DiPresidentate of Sulaymaniyah Governorate, and with technical assistance from the German Federal Agency (THW), in partnership with the Joint Coordination Center (JCC), conducted a specialized course for health and safety officials and civil defense personnel.
This course, titled “Community Response,” was held for four days from July 14-17, 2025, at the Technical Colleges Campus in Chwarchra.
The objective of the course was to enhance the preparedness and capabilities of civil defense and health and safety officials for rapid response to incidents and crises.
In the course, 25 officials from civil defense and health and safety at Sulaimani Polytechnic University participated and completed training and educational programs.
