The Week of Combating Violence against Women Began at the Presidency of Sulaimani Polytechnic University

Under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, a ceremony dedicated to the week of activities to combat violence against women was held in the presence of Dr. Bakhtiar Obaid Sharif, Dr. Dilpak Tahir, Director of Gender Equality Center and Dr. Rebaz Jalil Abdullah, Director of General Registry of the University.  At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Bakhtiar expressed his gratitude to the President and members of the university council and said that you women have a special place in the management and learning process in the university. We will always support you to carry out your work away from any pressure and violence that you face because a healthy society is achieved by women living free from violence.  Then Dr. Dilpak Tahir congratulated the women who were present in the ceremony, and briefly talked about the history and the determination of November 25. She also said that as a permanent duty in the week of combating violence against women, activities are carried out during the week and the university has always appreciated the role of women. In practice, the university has proved that the majority of our university’s employees are women, and they have been given an important role in the management of the university. Finally, Dr. Bakhtiar and Dr. Dilpak presented flowers to the women who were present in the ceremony.
