The Graduation Ceremony of the 28th Session of Sulaimani Polytechnic University began.
On 22nd of January and Under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr.yossef Goran and the supervision of the President of the Sulaimani Polytechnic University Dr.Alan Faraidoon , the presence of the governor of Sulaimani Dr.Haval Abu bakr and the President of the provincial council Mr.Azad Mohammed Amin and representatives of the universities of Kurdistan and number of professors, the graduation ceremony of the year 2016-2017 was carried out ,the session entitled The pride of Homeland were 5715 students received their graduation certification.
SPU now is consisting of 5 colleges and 8 institutes and has 648 lecturers in all districts of Sulaimani Governorate.
The Graduation ceremonies began with a minute of silence for the martyrs of Kurdistan and then the audience performed the national anthem ,then Dr.Kawa presented the speech of the university, and started his speech with welcoming all the attendees then he said that the session was named “the pride of homeland”, an expression of our respect for the politician, the activist and the lover of science Mr. Mam Jalal also thanked the government of the Kurdistan region for its support for the process of higher education and all those who organize the ceremony, as well congratulating the students for their graduation and wished them success after graduation.
The Assist .Prof Dr.Alan presented his speech , he congratulated the students and said, you are reaping the fruits of your efforts and perseverance and will always support you to obtaining jobs according to your fields of specialization and mentioned the great role of Mam Jalal in supporting the higher education and university ,he said our loss of this strong personality has done great damage to Kurdistan, especially university professors.
After that, the speech of Association of Kurdistan Students, then the graduation certification distributed on the students.
