The Implementation of a Joint Strategic Project Called the National Park in the Areas of Sargallw and Bargallw

On Wednesday, 25/10/2017, Dr. Alan Faraydoon, President of the SPU, accompanied by Dr. Soran Saeedd, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Mr. Bakhtiar Sharif Obaid, Director of Academic Relations, visited the Kurdistan Center for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research. They discussed the joint project for the completion of a national and cultural museum in the regions of Sargallw and Bargallw where these areas witnessed many historical events of the Kurds in the past and present. .

Thus, Sulaimani Polytechnic University and the Kurdistan Center for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research signed a memorandum of understanding to implement this strategic project (National Park) to preserve the national and historical monuments of our people and employ human and scientific efforts.

The agreement included the duration of the implementation of the project which does not last more than two years and finances the project through the efforts of the parties at the invitation of the competent organizations in the field of construction and reconstruction of archaeological areas

It is worth mentioning that both SPU and the Kurdistan Foundation for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research have signed earlier a memorandum of understanding on 20/1/2015, which was supportive of this new agreement, and we can consider this project the first of its kind in Kurdistan and Iraq
