Sulaimani Polytechnic University Won Several Awards in TECHFEST Competition

Technical College of Informatics of Sulaimani Polytechnic University participated in Techfest 2023 with a number of unique projects and won several awards and won the second place in the competition.

(Amazha) is one of the projects of (Mr. Bakhtawar Barzan) which is an application for the disabled that has its own special importance for the deaf to learn languages (Kurdish – Arabic – English).

(Bardabar) is the project of (Lare Fazel Mahmoud) fourth year student in the Department of Computer Networks, this project is a software that developers can use to write both parts (backend and frontend) of their systems automatically according to the databases they have.

(Grasp) is the project of (Barzi Yasin Karim) second year student of Department of Computer Networks, which is dedicated to storing and protecting the information of college students and others as a mobile app Internet access to information from any mobile phone, it also has many other unique features.

Both students of the Department of Computer Networks (Barzi Yasin Karim) and (Darian Dara Latif) won the second place.

It is worth mentioning that in the problem-solving competition held in TECHFEST, for 4 hours without using the internet and taking a break, among a group of programmers, students of Technical College of Informatics won the second place.

Three students of Technical College of Informatics (Dilshad Dara, Shahid Najmuddin, Omid Akram) won the fourth place in the CTF challenge of SulyCyberCon at TECHFEST, out of 26 teams, in Kurdistan and Iraq.

TECHFEST, the largest technology competition in Iraq for the third time and chaired by (Qubad Talabani) Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government and in the presence of Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, the President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University and a significant number of teachers, students and technology experts held in Sulaimani, where young people, innovators and talented people in the field of technology exhibited their projects in this exhibition.
