SPU President Appreciates Group of Students for their Participation in International Program
The President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wshiar Abdulla Aziz received a group of SPU students who participated in an international academic program called Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge (GSSC). This took place during a meeting which was attended by the Assistant of the President for Administration and Finance, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Qadir Osman, the Assistant of the President for Students Affairs, Dr. Bakhtiar Obed Sharif, an SPU Lecturer at the Technical Engineering College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Awder Mohammed Ahmed.
In collaboration with an American group from the College of Sunta Fe Colegs in the California State, the SPU students were supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Awder Mohammed Ahmed, and they managed to take the first place out of 12 different groups after working for more than three months. The successful students (who are from the Technical Colleges of Informatics, Engineering, Administration and Medical & Health) are considered the alumni of the Stevens Initiative Institution, and they are entitled to take advantage of the offered exchange programs of this institution.
The SPU President congratulated the students, stating “We are proud of our students and hope them to stand out of the international and local programs organized at the universities.” Finally, The SPU President offered the successful students appreciation letters wishing them continuous success.
