University Representative Participated in a Workshop on Education

A workshop was held in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq with the participation of education experts and heads of educational institutions in order to find appropriate solutions to the educational problems that are scheduled to be held at the 2023 ICET Conference in May 2023.

Representative of Sulaimani Polytechnic University (Mr. Jamal Kakbra / Director of Information Technology and Statistics) participated in the pre-conference workshop entitled (Providing an attractive education for Generation Z and Alpha).

It is worth mentioning that the representative of our university, as an information technology expert, participated in the workshop and focused on “Digital Literacy and Technology Education”, the problems of this generation in terms of technology and providing appropriate solutions.

The workshop was held on Saturday, December 28, 2023 at 10 am at Ramada Hotel in Sulaimani.

The workshop was attended by 35 teachers from universities and schools in Sulaimani, including: Sulaimani University, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Garmian University, Halabja University, Republic University, American University in Iraq, Sulaimani, Sulaimani Education Directorate and Sulaimani Police Directorate, this scientific activity is an important step ahead of the International Conference on Education (ICET).

The workshop participants were divided into four groups, that evaluated the characteristics of generations Z and Alpha, and in their discussions, they sought an interesting and nurturing education for these two generations.

Finally, the representatives of each group discussed the problems and solutions in the workshop panel, and then certificates of participation were awarded to the participants of the workshops before the 2023 ICET Conference – Sulaimani.

This workshop was organized by Stirling Schools, Cambridge University Press and City & Guilds, James for Education GEMS Education, and UK Teachers Academy.

The ICET Conference 2023 will be held on May 15 and 16, 2023.
