Sulaimani Polytechnic University Memorializes the Shangal Massacre

In 3rd of 2014, people in Shangal were subjected to a violent attack by ISIS, 5000 of civilian people were massacred, more than 7000 women were abducted, no word can define such a mass, no doubt it is genocide.

Today is the anniversary of yezedis massacre by ISIS in Shangal; Presidency of Sulaimani Polytechnic University memorialized the anniversary of that horrible incident through the participation of the president of the SPU and the university staff who stopped moments of silence in the courtyard of the SPU to demonstrate their deep sympathy and solidarity with the families of the victims.

It is worth to mention that the professors and staff of all the colleges and institutes of the university each in its location participated in the anniversary of this massacre.
